Joel Martin

This week, co-hosts Jim Burke and Christine Rogers interview virtuoso guitarist and vocalist Joel Martin, a one-man band who, aided by effects and loops, plays very full versions of Grateful Dead songs. Joel played a 2-1/2 hour non-stop set at the Keg & I on Saturday 7/20/24. Assisting the interview was friend of Joel and former KPTZ news reporter Casey Dolan. See their group photo below. KPTZ’s Taylor Clark and co-host John Mauro were joined by Port Townsend Mayor David Faber. We spoke about the golf park, the city council’s upcoming strategic planning meeting, the upcoming comp plan gala (Monday at 5pm at the Cotton Building) and the effort to choose an additional city council member. Madeline Bartos Mauro also joined us and talked about the library summer reading program.
