KPTZ’s Taylor Clark was joined by Laura Parsons, Civil Engineer with the City of Port Townsend along with Danny Milholland from the Production Alliance. Laura is the Project Manager for the Discovery Road project and Danny has been planning a big ribbon cutting event to celebrate the project. We talked, of course, about the upcoming Race to Alaska which kicks off this week, and also about a lot of other interesting things you may not be aware that Northwest Maritime does to help connect people to the water.

Taylor Clark and co-host John Mauro were joined by Jefferson PUD Commissioner Ken Collins, who gave us some history about the PUD, and some exciting information about grants the PUD has received. We talked about different services the PUD supplies. not just power, but also water and broadband/internet service. We also had a moment to talk about KPTZ’s move to Fort Worden on May 1. KPTZ is a PUD customer for both Internet and our dedicated fiber connection to our transmitter. And of course power.
