Earth Lab: A Different Kind of Lab

(Airdate: August 31, 2022) EarthLab is a an institute at the University of Washington’s College of the Environment – a small but mighty program that seeks out innovative, just and equitable solutions to environmental challenges. Earthlab is breaking new ground, bringing university research into applicable, real-world situations and finding solutions. Host MaryAnn Wagner talks with EarthLab’s Executive Director Ben Packard to learn how they address these environmental challenges by building relationships between the University and public, private and nonprofit sectors.

KPTZ joins Rainshadow Recording in welcoming Jeff Plankenhorn

KPTZ is happy to work with Rainshadow Recording to copresent Jeff Plankenhorn, an Austin, Texas-based musician, on Sunday, September 11, at the Palindrome in Port Townsend at 7:30pm. Jeff Plankenhorn is an “all things strings” multi-instrumentalist who specializes in guitar, steel guitar, upright bass, and piano.

KPTZ DJs Live at Pourhouse ~ Sunday, 8/28

KPTZ, Mutha Tung Productions, and Pourhouse present Hooked on the Sound Closing Party. This all-summer, all-vinyl DJ series to benefits local non-profits comes to a close this Sunday, August 28. This special end-of-the-season event will benefit Dove House, a non-profit organization supporting and advocating for victims of domestic abuse. The party will feature Soul, Funk and Disco records selected by KPTZ DJs David Bonobo, Captain Peacock, and DJ Mars. This event runs from 3pm to 6pm, outdoors at Pourhouse.
