Pete Langley has been the owner of the Port Townsend Foundry since he re-established it in 1983, nearly 100 years later. The use of heritage techniques as well as modern technology allows Port Townsend Foundry’s craftspeople to produce pieces of continuing history. KPTZ’s Chris Bricker and Co-Host Eron Berg, Port of Port Townsend’s Director, join Pete for an up-close-and-personal tour, along with some sage insights about craftsmanship and about the niche Port Townsend Foundry serves in the Industry.

Taylor’s guests included Connie Anderson, Port Townsend City Director of Finance and Technology, and Monica MickHager, City Councilor and chair of the Finance and Budget subcommittee. Topics discussed included the budget process, the role of the F&B Subcommittee, funding source “buckets”, and how that impacts spending. KPTZ CoPresents Three Wheels Turning on Wednesday, 2/08

KPTZ joins Port Townsend’s own Three Wheels Turning to present an album release concert (ticket link here) celebrating their new collection. The trio consists of Aimee Ringle, Micaela Kingslight, and Samara Jade, who bring their own brand of philosophical folk to the Palindrome on Wednesday, February 8. Andy Fischer Price opens the show, starting at 7pm. 

In addition, on the morning of February 8, the group will appear on KPTZ live during Larry Stein’s Bring Your Records program from 9:30 to 11am, playing selections from the new LP and talking about themselves and their music.

Marine Wildlife Hospital
