This week, KPTZ’s Chris Bricker and co-host Siobhan Canty, President & CEO of Jefferson Community Foundation, speak with Maya Horrocks, Licensed Midwife of Peninsula Midwives, about the skills, experience, knowledge and heart involved in Midwifery.

KPTZ DJs at the Port Townsend Record Show

On Saturday March 4, KPTZ is pleased to co-present the annual Port Townsend Record Show. Connect with your music loving community! Featuring over 30 vendors, thousands of records, music collectibles, live DJs and more, KPTZ DJ hosts Jerry Osborne, Ron McElroy, Buzzy Donahue, and Bill Mercier will be on hand during the day with T-Shirts and Hoodies at a special discounted merch price. The show is at the American Legion Hall from 10am to 5pm. Brewocracy Now ~ 3/02/23

On Brewocracy Now, Taylor Clark hosted Melody Sky Weaver, Director of the PT Library, and Steve King, Director of Public Works for the city. The discussion began with the community read (Braiding Sweetgrass). Melody will be joining next week along with Monique Gray Smith, who did the young adult adaptation that we are all reading. Steve and Taylor both pledged to read it. Also discussed were infrastructure projects, including the library ADA bathroom, work on city hall, the Point Hudson jetty, the concrete asbestos pipe on Water Street, the Gravity Water System that feeds both PT and the Mill, a possible mitigation for king tide flooding in the Boat Haven.
