(Airdate: November 14, 2023) Maryanne interviews Josh Thompson, owner of Josh’s Window Cleaning Services. Josh is following the iconic American dream – young man starts his own business rather than working for someone else. It takes a lot of courage and hard work to succeed with a dream like that. He’s only been in business since last March but right now is booking clients for about six weeks out. This owner-operator works for both residential and commercial clients. He does both windows and gutters. The rainy season is upon us and most gutters are overflowing. It’s dirty work but Josh sees a path to a successful and profitable career.

Taylor Clark talked with Port Townsend City Manager John Mauro about the Port Townsend Transportation Benefit District, and the sales tax funding measure that passed this week with 80% of the vote. John expressed great appreciation to the community for stepping up to fix our roads.

Second Concert in the Early Music at the Grange Series

KPTZ invites you to join in the second concert in the Early Music at the Grange Series, “Superstars of the High Baroque,” on Saturday, November 18 at 3pm at the Quimper Grange in Port Townsend. The concert features chamber music from 18th century Europe by the most renowned and skilled composers of the era. The Odd Pearl Consort performs on reproductions of instruments used in the time period, such as the Baroque flute, the Baroque violin, the harpsichord, and viola de gamba.
