Taylor Clark was joined by guest host Shelly Leavens (Director of Communications and Marketing for the city of Port Townsend) and we welcomed Natalie Maitland (Director of Operations for Fort Worden Hospitality) who a member of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. LTAC give grants to organizations to promote tourism on the north Olympic Peninsula, with a focus on furthering year round activities and events. Please consider attending the next LTAC meeting March 27 and provide your input on what to do about the visitors information center. We also talked with Natalie at the very end about plans at the fort for the Guardhouse.

Flûtes-en-Bois Performing Live at the Quimper Grange

KPTZ is very excited to co-present Flûtes-en-Bois, a Baroque Flute ensemble, performing live at the Quimper Grange on Saturday, March 30 at 2pm. Flûtes-en-Bois is a truly unique ensemble of baroque flutists and one cellist. Not only does the ensemble perform carefully chosen music from the 18th century, but all the flutists perform on wooden, one-keyed baroque flutes. Take a trip into a world of Bach, Vivaldi, and Handel with this exceptional performance.
David Michael: Original Music for the Celtic Harp

Please join KPTZ in welcoming local harpist David Michael to the Trinity United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 28 at 7pm, as the newest installment of our Candlelight Concert series. David Michael will focus mainly on music he composed during the pandemic years, all played on a 38 string Celtic harp. David Michael is an international performer, recording artist, producer, composer, author, and multi-instrumentalist. We are truly excited to highlight this talented local artist. This concert will also be simulcast on 91.9 FM KPTZ.
