Campfire Classics and Community Spirit: John Miller Live at the Candlelight Concert

KPTZ is excited to welcome folk guitarist John Miller to Trinity United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 24 at 7pm as part of their ongoing Candlelight Concert series. A Port Townsend resident and longtime KPTZ volunteer, Miller will transport audiences to a simpler time, gathered around a campfire with guitar and harmonica in hand, friends singing along under the stars. The evening’s program will feature favorites by James Taylor, Neil Young, the Eagles, Harry Chapin, and more. So sit back and imagine the crisp night air, the scent of woodsmoke, and the taste of a slightly burned marshmallow, and don’t hesitate to sing along if you feel inspired.

In addition to his musical talents, John has served as a music director on spiritual retreats and has performed in a variety of informal settings. Professionally, he has worked in information technology since 1979, focusing on large-scale computing, microwave communications, and networking. A licensed amateur radio operator, John is also the station engineer at KPTZ and one of the producers of the monthly Candlelight Concerts. His combined passions for music, technology, and community make this a truly special event. Presented by KPTZ, the concert will also be simulcast on 91.9 FM.
