Because of the Labor Day holiday, this week’s County Public Health Meeting was rescheduled for Tuesday, September 8 at 9:45 am.

KPTZ broadcasts Public Health Updates on COVID-19 live from the Board of County Commissioners’ weekly meeting. Dr. Tom Locke, Public Health Officer for Jefferson County answered questions from KPTZ listeners including information about Covid-19 vaccine priorities, thoughts on herd immunity, and advice on flu vaccinations. Willie Bence, Director of Emergency Management, provide information also spoke about the County’s mask and PPE preparedness.
