Vinyl Dialogues / Dick Keenan

Vinyl Dialogues / Dick Keenan

I grew up in Northern Illinois listening to the Clancy Brothers at home and to WLS-AM on my transistor radio. I have always wanted to be a DJ. I have collected a lot of records but little on air experience. The Rooster was born in Macomb IL, moved to San Diego, and then to Port Townsend in 2016. What a great opportunity to be on KPTZ! It is here that the Rooster and Vinyl Dialogues began to flourish. On my show, Vinyl Dialogues, you can expect to hear some rock, folk, country-rock, blues, jazz, do-wop, easy listening…a little bit of everything. If it sounds good to me I will play it. If you like the sound of albums sizzling on the turntable then turn it up and enjoy the show.

You can contact Dick at vinyldialogues@kptz.org..
