(first airdate: February 23, 2016) Ta-kwt (To Shine a Light on Something) For February, the Northwinds Arts Center features Mary Ann Lambert, a local historian of the S’Klallam people of Dungeness and Port Gamble. Exhibits include information about Lambert and her documentation of life of the S’Klallam people in the Olympic Peninsula, as well as art from S’Klallam artists expressing their heritage. A new book Dungeness by Karen Polinsky, is an historical novel of a character much like Mary Ann Lambert.

Conversation with Karen Hanen, Executive Director of the WA State Arts Commission, which had a board meeting at Fort Worden on Wed May 6, and a public presentation of its programs on May 5th at the Co-Lab. Hanan is a long time arts advocate and activist, and was the founder of the Juan de Fuca Festival in Port Angeles.
