Dear Friend of KPTZ,
As we approach our move to new studios at Fort Worden, we also are embarking on an exciting new epoch of growth and community service. The KPTZ Board of Directors is seeking talented candidates to help direct this community radio station into the future.
The KPTZ board is a policy-making body that sets the overall direction for the station. It hires, supports and oversees the station’s general manager, and approves and monitors the budget through its finance committee. Members attend one meeting a month and may also serve on standing or ad hoc committees.
Qualified individuals will have an interest in community radio and a passion for KPTZ’s mission, to build and strengthen our community through programming that is educational, entertaining and service-oriented. They must be able to work well with others and periodically take the lead. They must possess a willingness to advocate for the organization and to participate in fundraising efforts. Prior non-profit board experience is a plus. The KPTZ board strives to be reflective of its community, and members of all backgrounds and ethnicities are encouraged to apply.
